Efflorescent

{ Faux Leather Peplum: Zara (similar) // Floral Crops: H&M (old, similar here & here) // Sandals: Zara (old) // Clutch: ASOS // Sunglasses: House of Harlow "Chelsea" // Jewelry: Swarovski bracelet; Social Experiment ring }
{ Photographed by Eleanor Chow }

I recently re-discovered these cropped floral trousers I bought from H&M last year (worn here). The bold, blooming print screams Spring and I thought it'd be the perfect time to wear them again. Juxtaposing the floral with faux leather provided just the right mix of feminine edge, and I pulled out the blue tones in the pants with aqua accessories, like this sparkling Swarovski bracelet my husband gave me for Mother's Day. Pretty perfect, wouldn't you say?

What's making me smile

{ Fluffy, pink cherry blossoms in full bloom }

It's been a while since I've shared one of these posts, which is long overdue. I actually meant to post this last month but the photos lay forgotten on my laptop. Better late than never, right? Cheers to a short work week and happy hump day.

Classic with a Twist

{ Blouse (on sale!) & Bag: J. Crew // Jeans: Habitual // Shoes: Charles David // Belt: Old Navy // Mirrored Aviators: Ray-Ban }
A white silk blouse, slim denim and aviator sunglasses are classic fashion staples that should be in every girl's wardrobe. After you've covered those basics, look for those same pieces with a little twist to add some flair. Details like contrasting trim on a blouse, mirrored green lenses on sunnies, and cuffing your jeans are subtle but really ups the chicness level. Or as P'Trique says, it's #ChicToTheNextLev.

Little Miss Sunshine

{ Blouse: Old Navy (last seen here) // Faux Leather Skater Skirt: ASOS // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Sunglasses: Prada // Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs // Jewelry: Joe Fresh necklace (similar); Anjolee eternity ring (c/o) }
I'm linking up with Marionberry Style's Trend of the Month challenge today, which is yellow! It's the perfect shade to brighten a gray day, especially when it's colour blocked with purple (my favourite hue). Colours have such a strong effect on your mood and for me, jewelry is just as effective, especially when it's sparkly and bright.

Anjolee recently gave me the opportunity to customize a piece of jewelry from their website, which is full of beautiful pieces from diamond engagement rings, bracelets and pendants to anniversary rings and earrings. Talk about eye candy! I eventually chose this gemstone and diamond eternity ring with alternating amethysts and diamonds (in this case mine has CZ stones since it's a sample). The style is simple and classic, and I think it'd be fun to stack a bunch of them on one finger! How would you wear this ring?

Pink Me Up

{ Blazer: Zara (old, similar) // Peplum Top: T. Babaton "Felix" (last seen here) // Crochet Shorts: OASAP // Shoes: TOMS // Bag: Chanel // Sunglasses: Tory Burch // Jewelry: necklace via Etsy; HRH Collection Ultra Luxe necklace worn as bracelet }
I recently read this book called Pink Me Up to my daughter and thought it'd be the perfect title for this post. My 3-year-old loves pink and she'd gasp with delight at the pink cherry blossoms and the petals that have carpeted the street. Of course, she'd be wearing pink too. Happy Friday everyone!
